Some Issues with iTunes

Greetings friends!

iTunes has changed.

I use iTunes regularly but I feel that it has changed and not for the better. The main issues I have with this program is its lack of compatibility for previous programs, lack of a toolbar in Windows and slow searches.

If you have ever had to rollback iTunes to a older version with newer libraries, you will know that compatibility is not there. This is a issue if I want to go back to previous features or what I feel would be a more stable program. Its just not possible to do this. Your library – which is the entire essence of your music or movie data – cannot be imported. This is just as good as having a corrupted library.

The significance of the iTunes library is that it stores information regarding your media. The date last played, the amount of times played, ratings, added data, etc. It is possible to reimport all your media but it will not replenish your data. That data is lost.

Data is fundamentally the most important portion of a computer, laptop or phone. Even if the electronic is trashed, the lost data is the biggest annoyance and inconvenience. These are electronic gadgets of course and their longevity should not be assumed.

Another issue I have with iTunes is the lack of a toolbar in Windows. There used to be one there but somewhere along the line it was removed. It is a real, great shame. I used to use it regularly and found it to be quite convenient. I wish I could go back to a previous program but then I would lose all my data!

No toolbar option

The last main issue I have with iTunes is that I am unable to search productively, quickly. The search moves slowly and there is a definite lag. It makes searching a bit annoying. I would prefer a natural transition from search to results.

I am quite used to iTunes and feel it is the best program for me. However, these are a few issues I wish could be addressed. I believe it would make things easier on the user-end.

Thank you for your time reading my post,
Anju.
